Clarendon Way

Leaving the Cathedral via Milford Street and Queen Manor Road, up to King Manor Hill and into woods near Clarendon Place, the path then emerges through fields to Pitton. Then over the hills to West Winterslow, Middle Winterslow and Buckholt and to Broughton.

Along Rectory Lane, and behind the village the path joins a track to Houghton. Between Houghton and Kings Somborne the path crosses the valley of the Test. After Kings Somborne the way turns southeast across farmland to Parnholt Woods, and onto Farley Mount Country Park.

From Farley Mount by a series of minor roads into the outskirts of Winchester at Olivers Battery, the way goes down Whiteshute Lane to St. Cross, and follows a network of streams along the Itchen Valley past Winchester College fields to the Cathedral.
