On a hill overlooking the village of Ibthorpe, with magnificent views over the Bourne valley, Staggs Cottage offers every home comfort in peaceful and picturesque surroundings. Neat, modern and practical, with a happy and relaxed atmosphere, the cottage has three guest rooms (catering for groups of up to 6 people), a ground floor twin with private shower room, and a double and a twin with a shared bathroom. The rooms are equipped with television, radio alarm clock, hairdryer and tea/coffee-making facilities. A traditional English breakfast with all the options starts the day and evening meals are provided.
The countryside around Ibthorpe is excellent walking country. Each morning we will drive guests to where they want to start the day's walk and, at the end of the day, guests can ring the cottage (mobile phones are provided), to be picked up at the point they have reached and returned to the cottage for a welcome rest and dinner. We have a number of walks available; Test Way, Clarendon Way, Avon Valley Path, the Wayfarers and the Kennet and Avon Canal. There is plenty of off road parking available, but if you prefer not to bring the car we are more than happy to pick you up from Newbury or Andover train station and return you at the end of your stay.
So why not check out the walks or give us a call to find out more.
